How to identify whether the HPUX-11.31 OS installed is a GA version or beta version?

Never worked on Beta's but i think you should be able to see it using uname -a

Re: Identify a GA and beta version

Typically there is a "%" in the version strings before the official release:
$ /usr/sbin/swlist -l product OS-Core
OS-Core B.11.31.%155c Core Operating System, plus Software Terms & Conditions

What does that % denote?
Some build number or anything.Is there any indication of how close to the official build my installed beta OS is?

Re: Identify a GA and beta version

Well you should only have a Beta release if your company had participated in the Beta Testing program, and part of thet program would include updtaing you to teh General Release version.
COntact your HP Account manager or whoever in HP arranged to get you into the Beta program to check this out.

That it is an internal build cycle, removed on the final release.
