ids 9000 patches

Just downloaded the product and became aware of a set of patches for HP-UX 11.00 that may not be on my box.
Does anybody know the compplete list of these patches?

Hi Frank,

Doing a search for IDS/9000 resulted in this list. I am sure there must be a better way than this. HP should put in a link for the patches required for IDS/9000 (at www.hp.com/security/products/ids just like they do for java)

Anyway here is the list:
Make sure PHKL_18543 is installed on the machine. If not include it in the same depot as the following patches.

I haven't look at each patch individually, but you might have to look at patch description and resolve the dependency issue.

Yes, its amazing...
I just got through recovering a server that went into recursive panic modes until I "moved" vmunix.prev into place... darn it...
patching is such a pain sometimes...

Yes I hear you. Its sometimes a pain to sort out all the depencies especially if you have to work with a bunch of them.

As far as the IDS/9000 patches are concerned, you are better off downloading all the patches and combining them into a depot and installing it from a depot, that way you can combine everything in one reboot(these patches need a reboot). Also you might want to double check on the depency issue for each of those patches.

The patch list i was talking about in my previous post is , if you go the HP's java page, they tell you all the patches you need for java, i was hoping they would update the IDS/9000 page to reflect the patches we need for IDS as well.

I think the IDS installation does need java...
Where do you find this java bundle and do I need all of java???

Hi Frank,

HP's java page is http://www.hp.com/go/java which is redirect to http://www.hp.com/producs1/unix/java, For installing the IDS/9000, the RTE 1.3.0 should be fine.

The patches required for java(1.3.0) can be found at http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/infolibrary/patches.html
