ignite and service guard problems
We are having a problem with Ignite in our environment.
When we try to boot a client from an Ignite server that has Service Guard packages running on it the client gets the IP of the package (for the ignite server) instead of the machine IP.
When the packages are shut down it gets the correct IP.
Has anyone experienced any problems similar to this?

Re: ignite and service guard problems
Hi,
I have never seen this before, although I can't imagine why you would boot a client from an ignite server while the packages are still running.
I think that if you boot a client from the server, you would like to reinstall the client with the image from the server. So the packages have to be stopped anyway !

The computer is a great invention, there are as many mistakes as ever, but they are nobody's fault !

Re: ignite and service guard problems
Hi,
The file /etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab contains IP adress to boot temporary the client and configure network. Are you sure that this adress isn't use by you package ?
Regards,
Jerome
