Re: Ignite backup booting fails

What do you type at step 3?
The SCSI ID only is not sufficient.

If "sea" finds your sequential device, you have to type something like

> bo P3

or the complete hardware path,

e.g.

ISL> bo 0/0/1/0.2.0

(replace the path with the right one)

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Ignite backup booting fails

Siva,

At PDC , you have to use the tape device to boot from the Ignite tape.

From the Main Menu> sea
check the Tapedevice path or device path.

Use , > boot path_name (P1 , P2 etc)
or > boot path
ie. exm: > boot 1/4/0/1.3

Cheers,
Raj.

Re: Ignite backup booting fails

Siva

Search for Boot Path and boot with the Device name such as P0 or P2 like that.
Or else give the full hardware path and try to boot

Thanks
