Ignite-LUX

I downloaded a document yesterday about Ignite-LUX dated 25 August 2010 - "Ignite-LUX: Management and Integration of Ignite-UX Software on a Server Running Linux". I am unable to find the Ignite-LUX bundle for download ?

Re: Ignite-LUX

If you read through the document you will see a note:
Note: This document does not include information about how to obtain the Ignite-LUX package. You should receive the package as part of the CMS product.

Re: Ignite-LUX

The closest thing we have to a CMS at the moment is a trial CIM Server with Insight Dynamics on it (we are after similar functionality to HP Perf Man - but thats a seperate topic). This is currently in a Windows VM.
I guess the CMS would have to be Linux based to get Ignite-LUX.

Re: Ignite-LUX

The situation at the moment is that we have vPars on Superdomes + a couple of Blades in a seperate DMZ. The superdome VPars are ignited using the traditional tape method - the Blades are currently not ignited - no local tape, no Ignite servers (anywhere) and no spare disks for DRD. What we were hoping for was a couple of Linux ESX VMs running Ignite-LUX - and all our problems would be solved !

Re: Ignite-LUX

At this time Ignite-LUX is not available for general use.

Ignite-LUX is currently only available with HP Server Automation (HP SA). The Ignite-LUX bundle is delivered as part of HP SA software. Customer support for Ignite-LUX goes through HP SA support processes.

The Ignite-LUX documentation is included along with other Ignite documentation for the benefit those users. That approach helps to keep the documentation accurate and up-to-date with Ignite releases.

Re: Ignite-LUX

Chandra,

Thanks for the link, but that is to the Ignite-UX product - not Ignite-LUX which allows a Linux server to act as an Ignite server (we don't have spare Itanium boxes lying around we can use as Ignite servers). However as reported above Ignite-LUX is not currently available as a standalone product.
