ignite on pr7410 crashes system

Hi all:

A new system I am taking over. Very little in notes so I am exploring. One note I do see is that a system running 11.11 on rp7410 crashed on start og ignite. This system has 2 n-pars with it. I wish I could provide more info but this is all I have.

Is this a known issue?

You are going to need to run a test.

I think you need data and logs and such and it may have been some other factor, outside the notes.

Unfortunately, I have no other info. The previous admin did not leave any so I will need to test.

We have an rp74x0 (n4000) and an rp7410. Recently we encountered problems on startup with ignite (it wouldn't). The SE said there were known issues with the version we had...as well as with v5.anything...Suggest you look at the version on the machine. Hopefully you have the ability to still startup from the drives and update the Ignite...
We are now running v4.4.29 (Product B5725AA - I think it was found on the Dec 2003 distribution pack). At least THIS version allowed us to boot successfully - the others did not.

Hi Rick,

As Jeffrey pointed out there were known issues with Ignite v5.1.xxx & v5.2.xxx
I believe v5.3.xxx is OK now & of course any v4.x.xxx is OK as well.
Check your Ignite version & if it's one of those listed above don't use it - either go higher or lower.
