I have a PA-RISC rp4440 running 11.11, that is acting an ignite server, with a DDS tape drive attached.
I have a itanium rx machine running 11.23 that we are unable to attach an external tape drive to. I would like to use our ignite server to create an ignite image of the itanium box and write it to the tape drive that is attached to the ignite server.
is this possible?

Solution
Yes, you can do this. See chapter 8 of the Ignite Administration Guide:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90970/ch08.html
Of course, without a tape drive on your rx machine, I'm not quite sure how you would restore the Ignite image, but you can do it.
