Ignite tape error

options="-Iv -x inc_entire=vg00 -x exclude=/SYS/newsoftware -x exclude=/SYS/archive \
-x exclude=/SYS/NET"
dev_name="/dev/rmt/0mn"
/opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -a ${dev_name} ${options}

I am using the above script for ignite tape and running though crontab.
i am getting error below error.

* Preparing to create a system archive.

* Archiving contents of ttetimqa via tar image to local device /dev/rmt/0mn.
pax: Ready for volume 2
pax: Type "go" when ready to proceed (or "quit" to abort):
pax: Unable to prompt user: /dev/tty is unavailable.
WARNING: The pax command returned a non-zero exit status (exit status 1).
ERROR: The find_files command failed (exit status 141).

Please let me know is this correct way to doing ignite backup.

I guess your tape was full and it was asking for a second tape .Since you are running this from cron and no tty is available, the command exits

try to execute the same command from your shell
and observe

you tape is full and it is asking for the 2nd volume . you can run it by command line than it will ask on the terminal window that please press y or enter if you 2nd volume is ready and than press the exact key at that time.

As per above mentioned posts, You run script manually, and insert the (2nd)tape and type ok,
hence there is human interface required to load the (2nd) tape.we can't automate it via crontab

Any particular reasons suddenly "OS backup" recovery taking 2nd tape ..? what's size of the tape your using, if the tape drive compatible to try loading the bigger size,(e,g 72GB)

or consider running the "OS recovery" backup to another tapes driver (LTO)
Problems are common to all, but attitude makes the difference

Thank you i am got ignite successfuly by excluding some of the file system.

By excluding some files to avoid second tape requirement, i am able to get the ignite image.
