Here's several things to get you started:
1. For Ignite software and complete documentation see:
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/index.html
Choose "A" version of Ignite-UX to install and manage HP-UX 10.x on clients.
Chose the "B" version of Ignite-UX to insall and manage both HP-UX 10.x and 11.0 clients.
2. To make a recovery tape for a server (i.e. to be able to restore its operating system with the patch levels present before a total failure) use the "make_recovery" option to make a bootable Ignite tape:
# make_recovery -ACvd /dev/rmt/0mn
3. For verifying a make_recovery tape, see this thread:

You can get this on info on the following location : http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/docs/Customized_Install_Media_Paper.pdf. This document is describing how to create a bootable tape and CD. I contains also the commands that you have to use to create a bootable CD. Try it.

You can get this on info on the following location : http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/docs/Customized_Install_Media_Paper.pdf. This document is describing how to create a bootable tape and CD. I contains also the commands that you have to use to create a bootable CD. Try it.
