Ignite-UX version upgrade questions.
Hi
I plan to upgrade our Ignite-UX to the lastest version c.7.6.100 on Ignite-UX server(s) side and client(s) side. Ignite-UX let the server and client must has the same version of Ignite-UX for backup and reovery, otherwise backup or recovery will be failed,is that right? I think so.
HP support guy recommend upgrade Ignite-UX should remove the old version first and then install the higher version.
Questions:
1. If i remove the old Ignite-UX from server, whether all the setting will be gone. In some Ignie-UX servers, I have added some client hosts into the servers and done the net recovery backup from the server Ignite-UX GUI. If I remove the Ignie-UX whether those clients setting will all gone. I need re-add them "Add new client for recovery"?
2. I have backed up some clients, archive files were stored in server side. If I remove the Ignite-UX install new version whether the old archive files could be used on new Ignite-UX.
3. If both server side and client side, Ignite-UX version all be upgraded. Whether the old archive files that backed up by lower version Ignite-UX could be used. In other words, after version upgard and before the new archive file create, if client crash need net_recovery then whether old, lower version's archive file works, could recovery system through it?
Thanks a lot. Any answers will be very appreciate.
