ignite-ux

Do I need to install and configure the full version (server version) of
Ignite-UX on my HP system in order to create a make recovery tape for it?

You sure do. That is the quickest way to do it.

Although, I have a space problem in the /opt and have managed to pull out only
the files necessare for the make_recovery scripts. That cuts down on the space
needed by 50%. From 39mb to 19mb.
