Ignite-UX

Hi all,

I want to take a backup of HPUNIX server using IgniteUX. For backup I am planning to use remote system itself, not through tape disk.

This is correct way to do? this is possible?

Please suggest.

Re: Ignite-UX

Sudhapage,

Yes it's possible with the make_net_recovery command, for more info take a look a this link:

Re: Ignite-UX

Yes you can do it that way I set up an ignite server for this purpose.

Use make_net_recovery command

it's not that dificult to configure the ignite server, you should try it.

Re: Ignite-UX

Yes you an do by configuring an ignite server, and using the make_net_recovery command from the client systems.

On your ignite server make sure you have enough disk space set aside in /var/opt/ignite to hold all of the images you make. Also the default in ignite is to retain the last two versions of each image, so allow for that space usage as well

Finally its works best if all of the servers are on the same subnet.

Re: Ignite-UX

also if your planning on installing an ignite server you need to have the sames version of ignite on all servers (Servers and clients).
