Re: ignite version
http://software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html
You can download the latest version from there. As far as upgrading your other machines, simply use 'swremove' to remove the old version and then use 'swinstall' to install the new version of Ignite. All of this can be done while users are on the system and a reboot is NOT required.

Re: ignite version
Yes, I would definite upgrade to the latest Ignite version.
Simply download a current version from here:
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html
To intall, use 'swinstall' and toggle the reinstall options ('-x reinstall=true reinstall_files=true').
Regards!

Re: ignite version
to install a 11i server your Ignite Server has to be HPUX 11.0 or 11i with a B version of Ignite installed. You have to download the appropriate filesets for the operating systems you want to install. If you want to install HPUX 11.0 and 11i, you have to download only filesets for 11.0 and 11i. You can also download a package with all filesets for installation of servers with HPUX 10.20, 11.0 and 11i. The software can be downloaded at http://software.hp.com for free. It is always recommended to use the latest version.
Please save your /var/opt/ignite/INDEX file first, then swremove the old version and install the new one.
Regards,
Birgit

Re: ignite version
I don't know how he did it, but my predecessor had Ignite for 10.20 installed on our 11.00 machine. I thought you weren't supposed to be able to do that.
I've heard no problems with the latest Ignite version. I'd have compatible version numbers on all boxes. No 3 and 4 mixed environment. Why invite trouble into your shop?
