Ignite

Experts,
I have a system which has its root vol grp /dev/vg00 mirrored. If I do a make recovery using ignite in case of a system panic does it mirror the root volume group again? Or we need to add post scripts for the mirroring?

Thnks

Re: Ignite

Hi:

You will need to manually reestablish mirroring. This can be via post-install scripts.

Re: Ignite

Ignite does not recover the mirror disk. You have to do it manually after the recovery. The disk will be in the Volume Group, but you have to do the mirroring.

Re: Ignite

You can, however, use the -p option and add the LVM commands to re-establish mirroring into /var/opt/ignite/recovery/config.recover. Then, the remirroring wil happen automatically when you restore the system from tape.
