I agree with david reference my earlier email, it had assumed that you had tried the rebiuld of the lvmtab, as this is definetly the first piont of call and is totally non disructive if done correctly, as has already been stated in earlier emails.
please reply stating whether this has been tried

It sounds like you have a hardware failure to me.
Trying doing diskinfo on each of the disks
Also try do a dd that reads the disk and pumps data to /dev/null.
Also did you have your drive mirrored?

Hi all,

Want to tell you that we try everything suggest in this threat, but without success. Also, an HP technician pass a full day to try to resolve it without success also. So, we did a vgremove and rebuild the vg and restore.... Want to says that I really appreciated our effort to help on this case. Many many thx !
