Increasing shared Memmory

Is there anyway to increased the shared memory? I just upgraded the memory on my RP5470 from 2G to 3G, and I want to increase the shared memory from 1536 to say 2304. Any ideas?

What OS you are running?
What OS bit version 32 or 64?

Re: Increasing shared Memmory

Hi,

TG Manikandan,

if it is Rp5470 then it could be 11.x and 64 bit only (supported!!).

Bona,

Kernel parameter "shmmax" to be modified. Extra attention required
when modifying kernel parameter, as it may impact system performance.

Re: Increasing shared Memmory

Hi,

There are few kernel parameter to be tune for acheiving this.

shmem:Enable/disable shared memory (Series 700 only)
shmmax:Maximum shared memory segment size
shmmni:Maximum segments on system
shmseg:Maximum segments per process
