INETD and Omniback

I was going through and shutting down and restricting inetd servcies to the ip
addresses that I need access from.
However, if I place any restriction (e.g. allow only specific list of host IPs)
on the omni service in inetd then OMNI will fail to connect. The only way it
runs is if the inetd.sec has no restrictions on the omni service.
Can any one recreate this? (HPUX-11) I have logged a call to software support.
It makes my system less secure to have the OMNI service open like this.

since this is a Networking issue regarding an Openview product :)
