Initial setup of Dynamic Root Disk

So, I've finally had some time to install DRD on an 11.23 system, and am ready to start testing.

The man page for drd clone show examples using a device special file /dev/dsk/cxtydz.

I believe I should follow the procedures used when creating a mirrored Itanium boot drive, and first partition the target volume (creating my /dev/dsk/cxtydzs2 device), and then use that as my DRD target.

Is this required, or is it handled by DRD? I'm plowing through the docs now, but if anyone has any experience/insight with DRD, I would appreciate a response.

OK, I may have just found the answer to my own question. There's a nice summary doc:

That explains that DRD *will* create the EFI partitions on the target device.

I'd still be interested in hearing experiences with DRD. Any interesting bugs or issues?

which version are you using of DRD?
I have done a DRD clone of 11.23 on Integrity servers, you specify the block device file of the disk or LUN, and iot does teh EFI stuff for you
Works a treat as far as I am concerned
