Input requested for future sar behavior
I'd like to ask a few questions to sar users.
First, are there some sar users out there (for disk performance in particular)?
Question is: if we were to provide native multi-pathing in the future, what should sar report:
- per path information (similar to what it does today)?
- cumulative information on all paths to a device?
How important is it to get this cumulative information versus the per path information?
Thanks,
Marie.

Re: Input requested for future sar behavior
there should be an option to select cumulative output.
Else would it be nice to have an option to suppress output lines (esp. for disk performance!) which contain zero data only, for example:
-Z 0 no zero lines
-Z 1 report only one zero line
The latter requires the holding of the last (n-1) records in memory of course - perhaps we should have a -Z (== -Z 0) only.
