inquiry failed on FCP device : Event 1007.
Hi,
I have a fibre channel on rp8400 connected to a VA 7410. the host send an event monitor notification with MAJOR WARNING value 1009.
we have replace the FC adapter with the same one (A6795AX) after rebooting no problem happens but when we try to connect to application HR access
the host sent the error "inquiry failed on FCP device" with Event 1007.
"NO SATISFACTORY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WAS RECEIVED IN RESPONSE TO AN INQUIRY COMMAND ISSUED TO A FIBRE CHANNEL DEVICE"
All FCs are online and status indiquate no error.

Event 1007
* Severity: Major Warning
* Description: Inquiry failed on FCP device.
* Cause: No satisfactory acknowledgment was received in response to an inquiry command issued to a Fibre Channel device.
A Fibre Channel device may be OFF-LINE or in a failure state.
* Action: Do the following:
1. Check device panels to ensure that Fibre Channel devices are ON-LINE.
2. If all Fibre Channel devices are ON-LINE, examine the log entries to detect internal device problems.
If the problem persists, it may be required to isolate and replace faulty Fibre Channel devices.

thanks for reply,
The recommanded action have been taken, and we have replace the FC adapter when we had 1009 event value.
the problem happen when try to connect to HR access appliction.
tanks for any one having the same problem and RH access application.
