Hello all,
Can someone give me some advise about what OE install I should do on a RP2470 machine.
It wil be used for Ansys.

HI,

a rp2470 is an non redundant system so i would go for enterprise edition ( mirror ux for vg00 ).

in most cases you would install just the
Base/Internet OE of 11i plus MirrorDisk.

Ansys is simulation software, does that make a difference?
Should I not take the Technical Computing OE?

you can install the entire set of bundle.

Alfons,

first: "The base HP-UX 11i Operating Environment and Technical Computing Operating Environment are no-charge items when ordered with an HP-UX Server."

So it is up to you, which you take, I believe the difference is just that on the Minimal Technical OE the HP delivered default installation may exclude some applications like Samba, Apache, Java etc.
