install latest patches

When installing GOLDQPK11i.depot or HWEnable11i.depot from March 2003 on a new server HP-UX 11.11 , I received the following message:
cpp: "/usr/conf/h/mod_conf.h", line 49: error 4036: Can't open include file 'sys/types.h'.
I had to abort the installation twice but I was able to reboot. What do I have to do ?

Did you download the patch bundle or did that come off the CD. I downloaded mine, and had no problems.

Check for the existance of
/usr/include/sys/types.h and
for permissions all the way down to it. Also you should do the patching as root...

Just a note for the lurkers out there. I have had this problem also on 11.00 with the CD for March 2003. It works fine patching the Workstations and really old hardware, but when I try to install on an L or N-class, I get the same error as above. HP has not yet gotten back to me on this, but since we are in the middle of (yet another) security audit, I don't really have time to hunt this stuff up right now.

Man, paranoia strikes deep (but I guess it is better than not).
