I just want to confirm something. If I am going to have 2 partitions one cell board on each side am I correct in assuming I only have a max of 7 PCI slots avail to each side

Hi,

Yes, you're correct. If you have two cell boards you'll only have 7 slots available per partition.

The up-side is they're all Turbo slots. So you'll have no restrictions on card placement. You'll just have to keep the card count under 7.

The biggest advantage I see with these turbo slots is that you can add cards on the fly.
just turn off the PCI slot using the 'rad' command, install the card and turn the slot back on. There is even an option to turn the light on.
