I've been trying to install PHP 5.1.2 onto my HPUX 11i platform.
I have installed the following: -
hpuxwsApache A.2.0.49.00
autoconf 2.59
bison 2.0
flex 2.5.4a
gcc 3.4.3
gettext 0.14.1
libiconv 1.9.2
libxml2 2.6.23
m4 1.4.3
make 3.80
zlib 1.2.3
I've got the PHP-5.1.2 source code, and done the following: -
# ./configure --enable-calendar -- prefix=/usr/local/php-5.1.2 --with-oci8=/tools01/app/oracle/product
/9.2.0 --with-pear
# make
# make install
This all goes through clean, but when I try to interigate php via apache, I get nothing back.
I found this line to add to the httpd.conf file: -
LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so
So I put that in, but Apache won't start because the lib file has not been made.
Does, anyone have any ideas how to get this file to be made during the install process.

Re: Install of PHP v 5.1.2
I think you are better off with the HP-UX integrated suite.
To get source code integrated with apache, you probably have an incorrect PATH variable and integration between apache and PHP.
There is a tool called apxs as part of the apache developers kit that enables you to make modules for Apache.
