Installation a application in network in multiple workstation
Dear All,
I have 15 HP No.s of C8000 Workstations with 11.11i as OS, and I want to Install a application simultaneously in all Workstations at the same time, how to do that?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Yajuvendra Singh

Re: Installation a application in network in multiple workstation
You can create a depot in one of WS (or server) with required application and after that use swinstall on all 15 machines. Another way is to copy application on all 15 WS and do the same install (without registering depot server).

Re: Installation a application in network in multiple workstation
Hi,
if your application is a depot you should use swinstall for this.
Put the depot on a place in the network and use swinstall on these workstations. You could use a small script which runs swinstall via remsh.
This is the quick and dirty way to do this. You can also use the Software Distributor (SD) to manage your software on your clients. With this you can install and configure the clients software from one central management server.
For more information on this have a look at
man swinstall
Hope this helps
