Installation of HPUX 11iv3 on VM Guest(IVM 4.0) fails with no disk message

Hi All,
I have a bl870c machine with HPUX 11iv3 0809 with Integrity VM 4.0.

1)I have to created 2 Virtual machine. One with HP-UX 11iv2 and other with HP-UX 11iv3. The 11iv2 machine get installed successfully

But while trying to install 11iv3 on virtual machine through ignite, It is not detecting disks and giving the message

"There were no disks found during the IO scan. You will need to
correct any hardware problems and either use the "Scan Again" button,
or reboot and try again."

My ignite server version is C.7.6.98

Please suggest me your good opinion

What happens if you scan again? You probably need to check the config again (which disk type, AVIO used or not, etc. ...).

Consider to post your config.

Hope this helps!

Try without AVIO first. Then install AVIO drivers on client and adjust this config.

Hope this helps!

Shalom,

Scan again does what?

What is the source hardware and method of building the Ignite image.

A make_net_recovery done on say an rx3600 may have problems in this environment.

Hi

Change "avio_stor" to "scsi"
and try again...

To use AVIO you should have Ignite 7.7.93 or higher. See:
http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=AVIO

Also you would have to install HP-UX 11.31.0809 or later to have AVIO storage driver included in base OS.
