Installing Bash on HP-UX 11.00

Hallo All,
I am trying to install bash shell on my hp-ux 11.00.
I have this version of a bash: bash-2.05b.
I followed the install manual and when I needed to compile the bash with "make" command I received the following errors:

Stop.
Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Do I need some libraries and if so which?

I would guess you're using the built-in compiler, which is really only useful for kernel builds. You need to use the ANSI C compiler or the GNU C compiler. Or you could download a prebuilt version:

Oops, for 11.00, I don't think you'll find a pre-built version!

Get it and installed it.

First link you sent me does not work.
About the second link, do you think that bash-4.0 will work with hp-ux 11.00.
My OS is very old so I am afraid that it would not work with this version of bash. But if you have think that it should work then I can try to install it.

I have the HP 11.11 OS version and i installed that depot in my server 1 month ag o and it is working fine as of now.

The depot for 11.11 will not install in 11.00.

You can from the above links download the source and compile it.

Use the gcc compiler.

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gnu/gcc-4.2.3/

Download and install all dependencies and dependencies of dependencies.

Also note: DO NOT change the root shell to bash
