Installing Fibre Channel Adpator

Dear Collegues,
I have a A class server...
# model
9000/800/A500-44

I have installed Qlogic FC card (QLA 2340) and powered On the server but it is unable to detect the card.

# ioscan -fn doesn't show me the card.
Could u please let me know if this card is supported and if yes where can i find the dirver for the same.

If nothing above works then i think you should try this.

maybe you will get the drivers from them.

But nowhere in the interoperatibility guide
i could the match QLA 2340 with A-class.
but i could see QLA 2342 instead.

I have found on A class servers, that certain cards will only reside in certain slots. i.e. HBA cards before network cards.

Hi Michael,
SO do you say that same card would work if i put it before network cards. Now it is not even detected in IOSCAN.
Please let know so that i plan for the same immediately

I tried that one but didn't worked ... i even removed NIC and just installed that FC adapter but in vain.
