I'm doing a cold install of HPUX 11.23 for the first time and wonder to make sure I install all the software needed to make my system stable...
1. HPUX 11iv2 Foundation Operating Environment
2. HWEnable 11.23
3. FEATURE 11.23
4. QPK11.23
If all of these are need great and if there more needed then let me know...

Yes
After do a patch assessment from the main page of http://itrc.hp.com
security_patch_check lists patches required to maintain support contracts.
Then do what is specific to your applications. Oracle for example requires patches not included in what is above to remain stable.
After some basic kernel tuning you are then good to go.

Thanks Guy this should do it...
I will put these depot on the server and turn the kernel and add any additional patches for the software I will add and then I will be up a full operational.
