SolutionIt seems progress is not there in the installation window,
Try doing the same activity from command prompt.
1. Change the directory ,to where the depot file is there.
# cd /path
# swinstall -s `pwd`/Ignite-UX-10-20_A.3.7.95_HP-UX_B.10.01_70
0+800.depot
--> select the product --> Action -->Install -->OK .
Check it , if it works,
2. To check after installation you can use:
# swlist -l product | grep -i ignite
It will show like this:
Ignite-UX B.3.7.95 HP-UX System Installation Services
Cheers,
Raj.

Re: Installing ignite on hp-ux but is very slow or quit !!!
What is very slow if its a big bundle with lots of kernel adjustments it can take a long time.
Sometimes about 30 to 60 minutes. But it's a very old OS version isn't it better to upgrade?

Re: Installing ignite on hp-ux but is very slow or quit !!!
Try the following:
0. Close all swinstall windows or sam.
1. Check status of swagentd
# ps -ef | grep swagent
2. Stop swagentd
# /usr/sbin/swagentd -k
3. Restart swagentd
# /usr/sbin/swagentd -r
4. Check with installing the Ignite-UX depot.
Hope this will help,
Cheers,
Raj.

Re: Installing ignite on hp-ux but is very slow or quit !!!
You can kill the session and start a new one .
swinstall asks for 1. Source Depot Type:, 2. Source Host Name 3.Source Depot Path
1. Give Local Directory.
2. Your hostname.
3. path of the depot directory or file.
You can also install from the command line as given earlier.

Raj.

Re: Installing ignite on hp-ux but is very slow or quit !!!
You want to install ignite but your logfile do say this version already is installed.
if you want to start all over again.
ps -ef|grep swinstall
kill the swinstall process.
$swagnetd -r
$swinstall
then if your sure you can make some changes with the default configuration of swinstall by options remove the x from dependicies on.
this will help speed up the install.
It can mean your software will not work correctly. normaly the software will work correctly.
grtz. Mark
