Installing MirrorDisk

Please help,
Does anyone know if I need a license key to install MirrorDisk and is the command to install 'swinstall -x ask=true -s ... MirrorDisk

Yes. It's a priced product and you need to purchase it from HP. HP will give you a codeword to install the software. Once you install the codeword from swinstall GUI, just mount the Application CD #1 and it will show the Mirror/UX product.

The last time I installed MirrorDisk there was no need for ask=true. You will need a codeword, though.

It is a seperate priced product. You need to codeword to install it. I would suggest installing it through GUI. HP website shows it for $1017

codewords can be added manually to
/var/adm/sw/.codewords file

You can use the swisntall -i interface as well. After firing it up, choose actions add code word.

I concur with Pete, never had to use that option. Just did that install on a server recently.
