Integrity Vitualization

Hi,

We have HP rx6600 running Windows 2003 64-bit. Does HP IVM/nPar/vPar software supports Windows 2003 as host server?

If yes, where can i find an eval copy?

Thanks,
Ed

Re: Integrity Vitualization

No, the VM host runs HP-UX only. Windows 2003 can be a VM-guest, but not a VM host.

Re: Integrity Vitualization

HI

the Host OS to use IVM has to be HP-UX only.
ON the Guest you can have WIn2003,HP-UX,Linux etc

Re: Integrity Vitualization

Hi,

NPAR/VPAR does not support windows 2003 at all. only IVM supports windows as VM guest.

The reason is that HP unix has to maintain IVM software and all the VM guest configurations..
Best wishes,

Ganesh.

Thanks to all for the info. Is there any other VM software that supports Itanium processor and windows 2003 as base OS?

Re: Integrity Vitualization

Sorry Vmware also might not support in Integrity

Hence if you need virtualization, you need to have HP-UX as host.

You could backup Windows host(via ghost) and installed HP-UX and then install Windows as Guest ..
