ioconfig File /etc

Dear all,

This is regarding the /etc/ioconfig file.

1.if the file got corrupted or deleted whether the system will boot..?

2. how we can recover the file ..( is it possible to recover booting in single user mode and running ioint..)

3. if file got deleted whether the ioinit will recreate the file

actually, /stand/ioconfig is what u should be concern. if there r problem, follow the steps in the doc:

If /etc/ioconfig is corrupted or missing when the system reboots, ioinitrc brings the system up in single-user mode. The user should then restore /etc/ioconfig from backup or invoke the ioinit with the -c option to recreate /etc/ioconfig from the kernel.
