ioscan identify bytes
Hi ,
Can some one help me in understanding the identify bytes of ioscan output?
==========================
identify bytes The identify bytes returned from a module or device. Identification of fields follow:
#1=scsi device type;
#2-7 = ??
#8-11=CRC of vendor id, prod id, rev level. See Multipath Devices in SAM doc. repository,
#12-15=CRC of Serial Num;
====================
For Eg:
:wsio:sdisk:11:8/4.8.0.0.0.0.0:0:0:0:CLAIMED:0x0;0x212:NEC iStorage 2000:253 9 46 11 240 52 33 46:::
=========
In the above output, the identify bytes are
253 9 46 11 240 52 33 46
What is byte1, byte 2-7 ,byte 8-11 ,byte 12-15 in the above identify bytes?
Please, I need this info really urgent......
Any help in this regard would be appreciated and rewarded [ 10 points:) ]
Thank you,
Jayesh
