ioscan not see my equipaments of the SAN with Tachyon

My server was with my taichyon /dev/td0 connected with my NIKE 30, point to point.
Now, I connect my /dev/td0 with my SAN (switch brocade 2400) and my server don't see my device across of tha SAN (Library / VA7400 / etc )
Already execute:
fcmsutil /dev/td0 reset
fcmsutil /dev/td0 disable/enable
but nothing !
Help - me !

Re: ioscan not see my equipaments of the SAN with Tachyon

Hi,

Sounds like the devices are not zoned properly.
The library & VA7400 must be zoned to see the switch & the switch must be zoned to see the Tachyon in your system.
You can't just place a switch in there & expect everything to be seen properly.
If they are zoned properly then you need to discover the devices
ioscan -fn
then install the device files
insf

HTH,
Jeff

Re: ioscan not see my equipaments of the SAN with Tachyon

Hi,
i would check three things:

- your HBA: is it supported with SAN ?
- your fc driver: is it up-to-date ?
- your system: did you do a reboot ?
- is there any error logged in the syslog ?

Re: ioscan not see my equipaments of the SAN with Tachyon

The zones of the switch was OK.
My HBAs support SAN.
I don´t reboot my system.
Syslog is OK. without erro

It looks like this is some old hardware. Can you check on the fibre channel switch how the server does log in? F_port? L_Port?

It is possible that you need to set up a QuickLoop environment in the Brocade 2400.
