Re: ip issue
Ip address can be found by using different ways.
1.nslookup server name
2. check /etc/hosts ===> it will be there if the host is added
3.check /etc/rc.config.d/netconf file
4.arp
5. lanscan ===>will give network interface name
using that run
ifconfig interface name.==>will give ip address
Regarding network speed can be found by using lanadmin command
Thanks,
siva

Ip address of host or receiver ?
Grep for machine name in /etc/hosts and/or use nslookup

Re: ip issue
Check if you don't have imput or output errors on your net cards:
netstat -in
coluns "Ierrs" "Oerrs"
If there's no errors execute:
# ping host 1024
And look at the "time" value, it's very high maybe it's switch or router problems.
Good Luck,
JT
