Is J2496B DTC16RX software for 10.20 down-loadable?
One of my software customers, who recently upgraded from 10.20 to a new 11i machine, now needs to swap out their existing DTC/UX's to DTC16/RXs. It's a production system, and they'd like to dry-run the DTC16RX software on the old 10.20 box before removing the existing DTC/UX setup from the 11i machine in favor of the DTC16RX software.
Both machines are under current software support contracts, and they have right-to-use licenses.
Normally both the DTC/UX and DTC/RX software is supplied on the application CDRoms. They have the 11i application CDRoms ... but not the 10.20 CDRoms. These folks are on a very tight schedule, and the normal wait for media delivery is going to kill them.
The software product ID is J2496B. It does not seem to be available at software.hp.com.
Does anyone know where I can download this product?

To my knowledge there is no where to download 10.2 software depots. If the system is under contract, however, HP should be able to e-mail it to you. The DTC software shouldn't be to big.

Re: Is J2496B DTC16RX software for 10.20 down-loadable?
Software for DTC/UX can be downloaded from software.hp.com. The DTC16/RX software is not available for download. Go figure.
No codes are required to install the software, but it is available only on the application CDRoms.
The HP support guy that I wound up with acted quite huffy when I asked for the 10.20 version to be mailed, and directed me to Contracts. Contracts said that they wouldn't mail the package, but would ship the CDRoms 2-day.
Unfortunately, that was no help to the customer, as the DTC16s needed to be brought up yesterday. In the end, we went bungee jumping without testing the cords first, and lived .... Since we had the 11i app CDroms, we installed straight to the production server without doing a config test, reconfiged the DTCs on the fly, and everything worked.
No problem, right?
