Is Mirror UX / Online JFS standard part of OS?

If I have the Enterprise edition of HP-UX 11i v1, does it come with Mirror UX / Online JFS / Veritas VOlume Manager? Or, do I need to purchase it as an add-on?
Also, does the J-class (J-6750) server support the enterprise edition?

Shalom,

No.

Both are add in programs to the base OE.

The next two levels, Enterprise and MCOE include both programs.

Sorry,

If the base OE runs on the box, the higher levels probably will run as well. I'm not aware of a server only restriction on Enterprise or MCOE.

Yes, the 11i v1 Enterprise OE contains OLJFS and Mirror-Disk/UX as well as base VxVM product.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to install 11i v1 EOE on the J6750 workstation, although the 11iv1 MTOE and TCOE were target for workstations.

See the release notes for details.

J class is a workstation.

This link seems to say that Mirror UX and Onlne JFS are there in the Enterprise edition:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5991-6552/apcs04.html

But this table says that MCOE isn't supported on workstations only TCOE & MTOE:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5991-6552/ch01s02.html

And the first table shows says only EOE and MCOE have what you want.

Why are you running server class applications on a workstation?

Hi unix guru,

Your workstation J class support 64bit 11iv1
see this chart.
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-0662/ch02s03.html#chdcigji

Type of OE table is available
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-6552/apcs04.html#chdgaehg

In your case Enterprise OE - contains Online JFS and mirror/ux is included, you do not need to purchase odd on

Thanks for all of your replies.

It appears MirrorUX and OnlineJFS are part of the Exnterprise OE- does anyone know if codewords are required to unlock the functionality of these two packages in the Enterprise OE?
I'm getting ready to setup a server for training. If I install the Enterprise OE on this box, will I also need to hunt down the unlock codes ( I don't think I have them).

I would assume there wouldn't be any, or you were given them when you purchased EOE.

No, no codewords are required to unlock MirrorDisk or OnlineJFS when installing the Enterprise OE.

i think the products will be codeword protected but you should have been given the appropriate codewords for that. If not, go to http://licensing.hp.com and request them.
