Itanium 4640 and IOSCAN

i ran an ioscan to find all of my disks and saw something i have never seen before. Can anyone explain this "s" after the device?

isk 1 0/1/1/0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 36.4GMAS3367NC

what is going on here? this is 11i ver 2 running on an itanium system. I was just looking to mirror the two boot drives.

Hi Chris,

HP-UX 11i v2 has different disk layout than 11i v1. These "s" are special areas. For example "s1" is EFI partition.
