Itanium - make tape recovery

Just completed my first make_tape_recovery on an rx4640. Is there something different on recoverying Itanium vs PA-RISC, using make_tape_recovery DAT tapes? See message below:
You are about to create an Itanium-based recovery tape. To recover
the system using this tape, you must perform 'two-step media recovery'
where the boot media (CD or DVD) has the same version of Ignite-UX as
the version on this tape.


On PA-RISC recoveries, I only needed the DAT tape.

Joe,

That is correct. Itanium servers DO NOT CURRENTLY support booting directly from tape. You must boot from the DVD, and at the appropriate point select to install from tape.
