Re: ITRC Forums Successes
Hello Dan,
Let me first congratulate you guys on the "Association of Support Professionals" award. You guys have set up a superb site.
As for my successes, I have had several. But perhaps the area where these forums have been the most help is in my "HP-UX notebook". Here I've kept every question/answer that I've used from the forums in one handy place. I frequently refer to this notebook when I forget the particulars on things like the "Attention Light on N class server", etc.
Keep up the good work HP. And just as importantly, keep up the good work all you contributers. You have helped us all.
And everyone, keep assigning those points!!! Mumble.. mumble.. I am not a point junkie... mumble
Look out JRF here I come!!! :-)
Jared

Re: ITRC Forums Successes
As one of the question answerers and I have asked a few myself, I would have to say that the success of this forum is based on those who take the time and expend the energy to freely keep answering the questions that are posed by others.
Some of the questions have challenged me to go looking for answers myself as they have been thought provoking and I wanted to know the answer myself.
You can't know all the answers, I bet even JRF has to go looking up answers at times, and a lot of times don't even know the questions or have the product that the question references to understand the problem.
I am troubled by some of the questions that never get answered and I can't find any information myself on which to base an answer. These questions probably need rephrased and asked again or clarified.

Re: ITRC Forums Successes
ITRC is a great tool!
I have been using it a lot.
I helped to resolve a lot of important issues.
I tend to use it more that the official HP support.
Thanks a lot to all of you!
Kind Regards,
Rui.

Re: ITRC Forums Successes
Hi Dan,
the HP forum is great. Normal HP won't give so much tips, tricks or solutions within a split second.
Beside that I don't want to reinvent the wheel, so a search within the forum will give me quick details if my case isn't only my case, but also a case for somebody else.
Although I'm not a HP-UX wizard, you can find me always within the openviewforum especially IT Service Management. I'm trying to get my first hat, a perfect earning for some contributions. Even my boss is using the amount of points earned for further potential development....
