Java 1.5 patches for HP-UX 11.0

I am looking to see what patches need to be installed for java 1.5 on 11.0.

I didn't see anything out there. I saw 1.3, 1.4, and 5.0 but no 1.5.

Any help would be appreciated.

Java 5.0 is 1.5 + additional tools and API's. For example from "Release notes" available at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/ReleaseNotes.html :

"The full internal version number for this update release is 1.5.0_11-b03 (where "b" means "build"). The external version number is 5.0u11."

I have seen 1.5 at javas site, but nothing for hp-ux.

There really aren't "patches" as such, but full releases of each version.

I see that Java 5.0 is not supported on 11.0 when I go to the patches section.

Does this mean that Java 1.5 isn't supported on HP-UX 11.0 as well?

No it's not supported. From http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/java2/jdkjre5_0/infolibrary/jdk_rnotes_5.0.06.html#HP-UX_requirements :

"Note that Java 5.0 applications are not supported on HP-UX 11.0"

We have an application that will install java 1.5 in its own install path. Do you see this as being an issue on an HP-UX 11.0 box? It will not install in the /opt/java... path.

i can't say for sure, but the newer java should be ok.

the reason (probably) that you don't see it supported on 11.0, is that 11.0 went out of support 12/31/200
