JFS version
Hello ,
We are in the process of replacing our production servers. The OS version is 11.11.The current version of JFS is
/usr/local/bin/pbrun fstyp -v /dev/vg00/lvol6
vxfs
version: 4
f_bsize: 8192
f_frsize: 8192
We are planning to build the new servers with 11.31.vxfs version in 11.31 is 6 .
The storage LUNs are cloned and imported on new servers.
When we have migrated 11.11 servers where vxfs version is 3 to 11.23 in this manner, faced some issues with mounting the FS.We have to execute the vxfsconvert on all FS and some FS got corrupted and finally need to restore from tape backup.
Could anyone please tell me that is there any issue between vxfs version4 and the vxfs version 6(version of 11.31).

Re: JFS version
Shalom,
The vxfs file systems should be converted prior to mounting on the 11.31 system.
You face the same general issue set.

Re: JFS version
Hi:
Layout version-4 can be mounted with the latest VxVM (JFS) versions offered in Hp-UX 11.31.
You can then use 'vxupgrade' to migrate from layout version-4 to layout version-6.
Regards!
