Is it possible to run multiple versions of jfs on one server such as jfs 3.3, jfs 3.5, jfs 4.1

no, you run only one version, but in most cases things like this are backwqards compatible.
In this case if you ran the server using JFS 4.1, you could still mount and use file systems that are the 3.3 or 3.5 version, you would just not have all of the newer functionality on those older file systems.

Well, I don't think that you can install multiple versions of OnlineJFS on the same platform and I can't think of a reason that I would ever try BUT if you change your question to "Can multiple versions of vxfs filesystems co-exist on the same box?" then the answer is a resounding yes.

If you are importing and exporting filesystems across servers then you will limited by the lowest version. A later version of OnlneJFS can handle earlier versions but the converse is not true.

The best thing is to have the latest version installed.

My believe is that the server will use the latest that you have installed.

Are you thinking of the *filesystem* version? If so, then "yes". See the 'vxupgrade(1M)' manpages, for instance, for more information.
