Re: kctune: Unable to access the running kernel configuration

It appears it's completely missing the /stand/system file.

How could it be missing, and how can I restore it?

Re: kctune: Unable to access the running kernel configuration

Hi,
as root should be the only one authorised to remove /stand/system, I suspect the root user or an authorised root command.

You should have a /stand/system.prev, which may not be too badly out of step. If you have a better backup on tape, use that.

If possible, could you please list all the commands you performed prior to this problem.

Re: kctune: Unable to access the running kernel configuration

For some reason, /stand was not even mounted.

Couldn't find any error anywhere.

did mount -a and all is fine.

Re: kctune: Unable to access the running kernel configuration

Is it still in /etc/fstab, then ?

If not, you might want to re-add it to prevent another panic attack ;-)
