kernel rx86xx vpars
The OS is 11.23.
I logged in and took alook around and found that someone had removed everything under /stand.
I do not have a backup of this server yet as it is new. I hope I dont have to rebuild it.
I do a another rx86xx running the same vpars and OS versions.
Two questions.
Is there any way of creating a kernel from a running OS?
Is it possible to do a cpio on the server that is ok and copy that info to the server where /stand is empty?
Thanks for your help.

Re: kernel rx86xx vpars
Somebody needs to get abmonished or fired.
You can try to copy the files from another instance. The vpar db file should be get updated later.
Try and you will know.
In case of failure you can try to install a recovery kernel from the install media and make it vpars aware later.
bad, bad situation ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: kernel rx86xx vpars
Before you panic appropriately, make sure /stand is even mounted. That may make it look empty.

Re: kernel rx86xx vpars
I assume your other system does have this volume?
This seems strange. Instead of just removing the files in /stand, it seems the whole volume has been removed/lost.
Is this problem only on one vPar or nPar of this one machine?
