keyboard mapping

I've changed my original keyboard ( QWERTZ keyboard ) to a new AZERTY keyboard. After rebooting, I've still the same mapping, i.e Q instead of A.
What should I do ?

thanks

Re: keyboard mapping

Hello Corinne,

never heared about an "AZERTY" keyboard before,
but assuming that you have an HP-UX workstation, the name of the keyboard layout you use is store in the file "/etc/kbdlang".
And to get the list of choices use "itemap -i".

Re: keyboard mapping

You can have almost any keyboard mapping by using xmodmap (see the man pages).
Run xmodmap -pk to obtain your recent mapping, then place appropriate xmodmap commands into your .profile .
