killed due to text modification or page I/O error
After installing the Dec 2006 Support Plus GoldPAck, I am getting the following error.
Prior to this installation, the system was working ok.
Any thought will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Norm

Re: killed due to text modification or page I/O error
What are you doing when you get the error?
Did you check the install logs for problems? You may have had one and need to post that so we can help you correct it.
swverify \*
Look for corrupt installations of patches, swremove them and swinstall the ones you need.

Re: killed due to text modification or page I/O error
Returns the text mod message
swlist
Returns the text mod message.
I started getting messages after the reboot and I dont think the the post reboot configuration phase ran.
I may have a bad root disk but I am just trying to verify that something in the patch bundle did not cause problems.
From the swagent.log
* Installing fileset "PHSS_33949.DCEC-ENG-A-MAN,r=1.0" (338 of

THis is the only error I found.

Re: killed due to text modification or page I/O error
Unfortunately you may have to search hard for it??
You may want to look at the lines in postinstall: 58, 64, 70, 76

Re: killed due to text modification or page I/O error
Hey, I can do that. Each line has swmodify on it.
If swverify doesn't work, can you use cksum on what you have and on another good system?

Re: killed due to text modification or page I/O error
I suspect that unless all of these are the results of a patch and the one that "failed" was only man pages, then I have a primary disk drive that is failing.
