lan on B180L
hi all,
i have the following problem:
when i power up my B180L and i do a SEArch in the IPL, i get the following error:
ENTRY_init returned status -5 for path lan
the disks are displayed thereafter.
i have nothing connected on the lan 100 or lan aui port.
when i do connect a cable on the lan 100 and the other end to a pc (with windows)the error goes away and only the disks are showed.
the lan setting is lc auto_detect.
any changes here does not affect the error.
has anybody a solution?
thanks in advance

Re: lan on B180L
HI,
No worries. The sea ipl searches all devices it can possibly boot from. A lan device is a possible boot device so it will check for the possibility. If the interface has no link/ is disconnected you get the error. If the device has a link ( connection to windows) it does not generate an error message.
I think it is a bug in the firmware, but not seriouse as far a i know.
HTH,
Gideon
