LDAPUX connecting to Novell eDirectory

From the information I have found, ldapux is "minimally supported" when connecting to a Novell eDirectory source system. Has anyone had experience and documented the steps required? I ran through the documentation I found on the ITRC, but have not been able to get a full ldap connectio after expanding the schema through the configuration script.

When I execute ldap_proxy_config -v, I get the following response:

File Credentials verified - INVALID
SCS Credentials verified - INVALID
File copy & SCS copy are synchronized

Thanks in advance,

Sean

Re: LDAPUX connecting to Novell eDirectory

Hemanth,

Thanks for the links, but to clarify: eDirectory is running on a wintel patform, I am only try to authenticate user accounts via LDAP to that server. ie - /etc/passwd only contains system accounts (root, adm, bin, et. al.)

Re: LDAPUX connecting to Novell eDirectory

Hi Sean,

I was able to get LDAPUX clients to authenticate against eDirectory running on Novell. I just ran through the setup script using Netscape Directory Server or whatever choice #1 is. It created the profile, downloaded it, started the client, and everything worked great, (I had one problem with secondary groups). Were you able to successfully run through the /opt/ldapux/config/setup script?
